They filed for bankruptcy protection in the last six months. “The shut down of the plant was not very surprising”, says Fran Simon. The owners of the plant have recently received an offer from a guy in Green Bay, Wisconsin of $12.7 Million dollars. The deal has not been made yet, but there has been an offer. The city of Aberdeen may see some personal damage from this mishap. They have invested money in this plant and many people have moved to Aberdeen to work, and now have to jobs. Hopefully something positive will come about from all this.
